Vacation...

So I didn't make any posts for a while because I was on vacation in Indiana. I lived there for a little over 14 years and graduated high school there, so many of my lifelong friends are Hoosiers.

I got to see a lot of people which was great, and we had a blast. Here's one of my favorite pictures, taken with one of my best friends, Nathan Smith.

Not sure what I'm looking at, but Nathan seems entertained.

Also, that tasty beer I'm drinking is a Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat. EVERYONE should try it once. I'ts just like eating a blueberry Pop-Tart.

More pictures later (maybe).

March Madness

I absolutely love college basketball. I like the NBA, but I love college hoops. The kids still love the game and they aren't making money, which is the way it should stay. I understand lots of people are making money off of them, but I think it would be bad for the game to start paying players.

With that said, so far my picks are pretty destroyed. My Southeast and Southwest brackets look TERRIBLE. But I still have Kansas and Ohio State left, and I think they're locks for the Championship game.

Gotta watch out for Duke though...

A list...A gain

So I figured I'd pop in another list. This one is my top 5 movies. One day I will do an actual full list with probably 20 movies, but for now here's my 5:

#5. Troy

#4. American History X

#3. Jurassic Park

#2. Forrest Gump

#1. Boondock Saints

Soccer?

For the longest time I shrugged soccer off as a boring, repetitive sport. Then, while on the mend from a broken arm last year, I was left at home with nothing to do but watch daytime television (which is like saying I was watching a barren wasteland). The 2010 World Cup came around and was an upgrade from Sportscenter reruns and Judge Judy. Boom! I was hooked. I love the fact that they NEVER stop. No commercials, no timeouts, the game just plays on. Much better than adevertising-laden U.S. sports. Soccer has a ways to go to get me as excited as other sports, but it's well on it's way.

Oh, and I had to pick a team. I am absolutely not a bandwagon jumper, so that ruled out Arsenal, Man U, Man City, Tottenham, etc. So far I'm going with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Theyre not great, but they have potential, and I love the underdog.

My faves- T.V.

So I figured I'd post my 5 favorite t.v. shows. I don't watch a lot of t.v., so that's why it's not a top ten list.

#5- Survivorman

While Man vs. Wild is also good, I prefer Les Stroud's Survivorman. He goes out with no crew and must film all his own footage while also trying to find food and water.

 #4- The Walking Dead

I know there has only been one (abbreviated) season, but it was awesome! The craziest, goriest show I've ever seen. People would have spontaneously combusted if this was on t.v. twenty years ago.

#3 Mad Men

I'm a big history person, so this is obviously high on the list. Just seeing the sets and wardrobe are enough to hook most people in, not to mention the great stories.

#2 Breaking Bad

The things they can get away with wit this show! Walt and Jesse, Hank and Gus...the cousins. This show has the most tense moments of any program I've ever seen.

#1 LOST

Every single thing about this show is great. The mystery, back stories, setting, cast, writing...I could keep going. It's a shame it ended last year because I honestly think they could have kept going. I loved the ending (whereas many people didn't), and the 11 minute add on contained in the box set just makes me want more!

Song I'm rocking right now:

Wiz Khalifa- On My Level

Here kitty kitty...

So this is old, but I felt it was worth posting. I'm the manager at a fast lube in Senatobia, Mississippi. One day a lady came to me and said, "I've got a nasty smell coming from my car and I'm not sure what it is. Also, my cat is missing." You know the rest...

Hey Hey

I have always thought about starting a blog but never have gotten around to it. Well now my HTML class is requiring us to create a blog, so here goes! I plan on posting numerous things about my favorite things (movies, t.v., books, video games, cars, etc.), as well as some of my not so favorite things. Keep your eyes peeled!
